FULL LENGTH PLAYS

Beautiful Day (3 women, 3 men, flexible set)

Felicia, Joey, Kat, and Matthew reunite for a wedding in their small hometown of Port Huron, Michigan — a town that changes only as much as it stays the same. Navigating through their old haunts, a traditional marriage, sexual experimentation, a trouble-making bridesmaid, and their own dead hurts, the four friends are forced to examine the people they were, are, and want to be in the six nights preceding one beautiful day.

DEVIANT (2 women, 2 men, flexible set)

Worlds collide when Sara and Valerie — a lesbian couple pursuing the American dream — meet James, a misguided grad student/prostitute too jaded to believe that dreams still matter. When the three start sharing the same apartment and lives and dreams intertwine, will they discover that there is no place for these dreams in their lives or that there is no place for their lives in these dreams?

Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them (1 woman, 2 men, flexible set)

Three kids — Kenny, his sister Edith, and their friend Benji — are all but abandoned on a farm in remotest Middle America. With little adult supervision, they feed and care for each other, making up the rules as they go. But when Kenny’s and Benji’s relationship becomes more than friendship, and Edith shoots something she really shouldn’t shoot, the formerly indifferent outside world comes barging in whether they want it to or not.

New (2 women, 3 men, flexible set)

Joy returns to her brother Anthony’s doorstep after a four-year disappearance, turns her friends’ world upside down, and then rips it apart with her sudden death. Her survivors wade through the tricks memory can play to rebuild their lives and hers, only to discover that instead of being gone Joy may now be larger than life, death, and one person’s ability to know another.

Picture 24 (3 men, flexible set)

Joey Bautista is shooting an autobiographical series: one picture per year of his life with each subsequent picture containing the previous one in the series, so that the picture-in-a-picture-in-a-picture of Picture 24 will capture his total existence. But while examining his life Joey begins to wonder if his best friend Max more than a best friend? If Internet hook-up Chuck is more than a hook-up? And whether any photograph can capture the truth of a lifetime, a person, or even a single moment?

Pure (2 women, 3 men, flexible set)

Alan Turing, the queer, British mathematician whose ideas would usher in the digital age, works obsessively to complete his great work: an intelligent machine capable of thinking, learning, and — one day — living. But when his life and work are put on trial, Alan is forced to confront the painful connection between his pursuit of artificial life and his first love’s death and to follow his passionate obsession to its inevitable, ultimate end.

But when a bearded man on a quest, a mystery man in sunglasses, a wealthy john, and a doughnut shop’s spell-casting assistant manager put their hopes and friendships to the test, the trio find they must spare some change of a far queerer kind.
