My untimely absence left you hanging about that whole Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award, huh? Sorry about that. Although by now you’ve probably already heard the news, here it is: Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them was awarded the Steinberg/ATCA New Play Citation! Woo-hoo!

If you’re in Northern California, you can catch the play when the Sacramento production opens at B Street Theater on May 19. Director May Adrales and actors Jon Norman Schneider and Teresa Avia Lim from the Humana Festival production of the play are be joined by Edith newbie Jason Edward Cook. And I’ll be there for opening night to celebrate all their hard work. More details as the date approaches.
